Many trials have been conducted in the field of women's health and its relationship with the amount of omega-3 consumption. But most of these studies have supported the effectiveness of the EPA subtype, and researchers believe that EPA improves the effectiveness of omega-3 in improving vasomotor symptoms in women with PMS and PMDD, and also improves the quality of life of patients during menopause. According to the results of a trial among more than 100 middle-aged Japanese women, daily consumption of one gram of EPA can significantly reduce hot flashes and vasomotor symptoms caused by menopause. In addition, pure EPA was able to significantly control psychological and physical symptoms of menopause compared to placebo. These results have been confirmed in other studies on postmenopausal women and other women suffering from depression.
